There are not too many:
1 - Serious Sam
2 - Serious Sam the Second Encounter
3 - Serious Sam II
You played 1 so no need to elaborate on that one.
2 Is the add-on (stand alone IIRC) of 1 and is basically more of the same, although more balanced (I could finish it on normal, unlike 1). I remember it added a number of annoying jumping puzzles but overall it was a very enjoyable game (very hard at times though, but it should be).
3 is based on a new engine. It suffered a bit from consolitis (smaller levels, fewer enemies) and got a fairly bad press because of it, but the basic gameplay remained unchanged. I think you should pick it up. I liked it (and finished in on normal)
IMHO 2 is the best of the lot.

Serious Sam 2 is a piece of shit.
You need Serious Sam First and Second Encounter but you have to download the parse error mod
It allows you to add a multiplier on the number of enemies. I crank it up to the max which is 20x the enemies on SE

All of these old games are now shit.
Only fuckheads still play these has-beens.
Max Payne2 was still okay and playable, but almost anything before that and you better check yourselves into a mental hospital.
Games that real gamers should play....
GTR Evo with a gamepad or wheel.
FEAR maxed out properly
Crysis and Warhead, the higher the IQ the better.
FO3
Hopefully NFS Shift and Operation FP DR are good.....Shift due out tomorrow and OFP due out very soon.

JUST TELLING THE COMPLETE AND ABSOLUTE TRUTH......THE WHOLE REALITY OF TRUTH ABOUT GAMING.
TOO BE HONEST, I DLED A HEAP OF OLD DEMO'S, AND I WAS SURPRISED AT HOW BAD MOST OF IT WAS.
THIS IS MY POINT, EVEN IF WE OVERLOOK HOW BAD THE GRAPHICS ARE, THE PHYSICS AND GAMEPLAY ARE NO LONGER CURRENT, SO I DON'T SEE HOW THEY CAN BE CONSIDERED GOOD "ANYMORE".
GTR EVO IS AWESOME, YET HOW MANY OF YOU FUCKERS HAVE EITHER BOUGHT IT, OR DLED ONE OF THE 2-3 DEMO'S AVAILABLE{STEAM HAS 2 DEMO'S}......THAT SAID, YOU MUST USE A CONTROLLER AND DRIVE IN COCKPIT VIEW, WHICH IS THE BEST IMO ANYWAY.
GET CRACKING REMINISCING FUCKHEADS.

Well, we are talking about Serious Sam here. This was supposed to bring back the fun of the old shooters: no story to speak of, no complexity (RPG-elements etc), no attempt to approach reality, just loads of enemies to kill and some humour.
I could understand what you're saying with games like Half-Life or System Shock (1 / 2) (although I do not agree) but I cannot understand it in the case of Serious Sam. Games like Serious Sam are *always* fun, they cannot get outdated, that's what these games are about. Effectively the only thing that could put you off are the graphics (or of course that you do not like such basic gameplay), but not the gameplay.
The graphics are not modern of course but were very good at the time of release (at least in case of Serious Sam and the Second Encounter) and are way better than games like Half-Life or System Shock 2. IMHO they should be bearable today.

W but not because of the gameplay.
Me....I'm immediately bored by anything that is just run and gun or point and click, and there are a number of games that both have decent graphics/physics and require that you plan your attack rather than just do a Arnie from Commando.

Fair enough, then Serious Sam is not for you. But then that's not because the games are outdated but merely because you're not into that kind of game.

I can't speak for him but this post suggests he likes Serious Sam.

Well, he likes Gothic and you kill more animals in that game than you do in Serious Sam, so obviously being required to kill animals in a game won't make it a bad game for him.

so then what is the point in being vegetarian if you kill animals? because the sages had once declared ~ A true vegetarian is one, who is so in body & mind ~
i hope this triggers an influx of self reflection and higher thoughts in mihai.
ok i am off to serious now.

berzerker is the only vegetarian here ATM. I'm not anymore 1, although I'd like to be. And yeah, I like Serious Sam maybe we will play on-line.
And BTW, in Gothic you mostly kill animals that attack you anyways, except for some farm animals in Gothic 3.
