Have patience; if you submit something and it doesn't suck ass it will eventually be posted. Don't be a whiney pussy.

Maybe I'm horny all the time b/c I made a mistake trading my g/f in for a PS3, but does anyone else instinctively think "Vaginas" when they read "VGS Admin" Under MOnkey's name?
PS: I'm confident I made the right decision trading her in for a PS3

it totally sucks, when I ctrl+click a discussion board topic, it opens it in a new tab (in the background), but also opens the link in the current tab...What retard thought of this? what possible purpose does that serve?

What about a meta-review of how the present videogame market is absolutely fucked up and spreading it on the internets?
We are under critical situation, if there were a DEFCON system in videogames we would be in the "LAUNCH EVERY FUCKING SHIT TO THE ENEMY" state since a long time.

What's a meta review? More to the point? why does it say "flame me" under my name?
I'm assuming you are referring to review sites like Gamespot giving 8's and 9's to games which really deserve 6's. I wouldn't mind doing a review of it, but this is a huge topic and you can't just go swearing the whole way through. It would require a great deal of homework

I'm talking about a review that refers to several videogames, points and tendencies as a whole and making final conclusions, rather than just one videogame at a time.

It's a neat idea, but like I said, it's not an easy task.
To look at the different "tendencies", you'd have to do your homework on several different review sites (lets say gamespot, gametrailers, IGN, 1up.com, and YouGamers.com). It's not hard to cherry pick facts from all of those sources, but to really get a comprehensive view of what they're doing right/wrong would take a few months.

There's only a few differences between those review sites (basically the amount of cash they are paid off and by who)
And several users of this forum are tracking the videogame market since 1995-2000 at least, we wouldn't suffer more than if just making one review of a single videogame.

well the only review sites I have been tracking are
-Gamespot
-Gametrailers
-1up
-YouGamers
but I'm sure there are hundreds out (billions if you count those fuckin chinese web sites).
A good way to go about it would be to set up sort of a wiki site (on here) and have different people contribute to it. That way, even though no one person has frequented every review site, collectively we would have. Of course wikis only work if you're professional...I don't know how far we would get using the words 'cock' and 'balls' every other sentance.

Something else just occurred to me, if you read On Bended Knee, it talks about how the Raegan administration tamed the media by giving huge amounts of access to the reporters they liked (in contrast to this under Nixon, the general policy was to talk to the nation directly).
It occoured to me when I was watching an interview with Ubisoft, the girl was asking really tough questions. All Ubisoft has to do is stop doing interviews with GameTrailers, and they'll get the message.
So it's not just about money, it's also about access.
