BTW it is not a country for which tourism is vital, like Spain or Turkey.
thats incorrect again, tourism is vital in Netherlands too.

"The contribution of tourism to the total gross domestic product (GDP) rose to 3.2 percent, the same as in 2001"

Lets compare this for a country like Thailand which is totally reliant on tourism

"Tourism is a major economic factor in the Kingdom of Thailand, contributing an estimated 6.7% to Thailand's GDP in 2007"

dutch

Thailand

bit dated to 2000, but you can only expect it to increase

More relevant and less dated data here (linked from here). 1,7%, one of the lowest in the EU. Your link also linked to more recent data here, there it says 3%, I guess the difference being purely domestic tourism and/or one day trips.

And why should it only increase as a percentage of GBP? The high exchange rate of the Euro in the last few years may not have helped either.

well the only explanation to that is his IQ and attention span must be at the same level too. icon_cyclops_ani.gif

So Suislide edits posts here without mentioning it, some great forum! Pretty immature I'd say, but then again, who would have expected anything else really.
now now hold on there, i think your getting a bit carried away. i know you are a man of evidence and links, so where is the hard evidence or perhaps some HARD links?

Proof is needed for things in dispute. Here the facts speak for themselves and Suislide does not even dispute having edited Dr Shrink's post, so I think I can save the trouble of providing additional proof. If you believe that Suislide did not edit the post, that's fine with me, I feel no urge to convince you otherwise.

I know I promised not to get involved in this Judaism v Islam topic, but this is technically more about master's colder environments foster comparative advantages theory. I just came across this on wikipedia

Wikipedia wrote:

LOL, wikipedia is claiming the exact opposite of master's theory

I'm just jonesin to start this discussion again. I'm reading a book on the formation of Israel and suffice it to say the Zionists carried out the same acts of terrorism that master is accusing the middle east/muslims of. And in the case of Israel it was unprovoked. And they carried out ethnic cleansing, and attacks against civillians.

I guess, technically speaking, I just started it again.

Those were different times you could argue but this was particulary painful when the Israelian leadership actually contained such former terrorists (like Begin). But double standards are pretty common in politics I guess.

No this is different, and it stretches back to Ben Gurion. It was a systematic cleansing of the population using a military force (Hagana) against defenseless villagers. They spied on them to determine who was of military age (10-50), then upon entering villages they arrested them and either shot them on site, or imprisoned them. Other acts included loading cars with explosives and taking them to palestinian repair shops, then detonating them, blowing up houses with people still inside, throwing grenades into crowds of Palestinians lining up to go to work, rolling barrels of oil into a village, setting it on fire, then spraying civilians with machine gun fire when they came out to put it out, shelling Arab towns with artilery (Jewish towns were new, and situated on hill tops), and sniping. These attacks had been carried out since December 1947. March 10, 1948 Plan D was set in motion which was just a more aggressive ethnic cleansing operation. April 1948, the Brits finally pulled out, and only in May 15, 1948 did the Arab countries send a small army to assist the palestinians.

My point is that ethnic cleansing was central to the zionist cause, and it led directly to the 1948 war. Not the other way around.

ha ha ha so funny so funny puk LOL LOL.....yeah yeah ok playtimes over, get over it.

nothing in that refutes what i said. i think your one of those impatient kids lacking any ability to think == islamite.

The nile is in the equatorial region and they have the same climate thru out. They dont have drastic seasonal variations. So this is not related to anything what i said. Ofcourse human civilizations have developed near deltas and rivers, thats a fucking no brainer.

But yes colder environments force people to be more survival adapted as compared to warm fertile climates where you have it all and become lazy. Period.
