I used to watch Have I Got News For You in the 90's but missed it since then (because I hardly watched TV and the show airs only 12 weeks per year or so).
Recently I ran into the show again, and learned Angus Deayton no longer presented it (which is sad, I thought he did a great job). It appeared he had a scandal in 2002 involving prostitutes and drugs and was fired by the BBC as a result.
Obviously he was thrashed on his own show because of that, and it is really admirable to see how he dealt with the situation back in the show that followed the scandal. It can be watched here: part 1, part 2 and part 3.
Pretty interesting IMHO. BTW Paul Merton may be the wittiest man on this earth but I'm not sure I like his performance on this particular show.
