An interesting report here (couldn't find a link to the report itself unfortunately).

I doubt this. At my work I know of a few people who still play games whereas many more don't, in spite of haing played videogames in their youths. I would think there are a lot of older gamers (30 and older) out there but even more former gamers in the same age group. But this is just my guess.

A job makes you really value your time. Waste your time playing or have sex and/or go out with friends?

I have no job so i really enjoy playing. But once i sell my soul to the corporate devil, bye bye gaming, hello alcohol to make the pain go away.

You have your whole future planned already? You know, you could start gaming again once you retire.

I don't agree with that

I hardly have time to play anymore. I'd much rather read a book.

That being said, if I start playing a game, it consumes my life until it's finished

You're maybe just too young to know what books are. Compare it to the texts you are required to read in games, but then without the game and a bit longer, and put these letters in one of those things you took to school every day but never bothered to open back then, get the picture?

BTW I do not read books either (except fairy tales for the kids), and I do not even have the excuse of being too young. icon_pale.gif

Oh I'm a total fag. I come home from the club and read a book. Can't sleep? Read a book. Girl won't leave? Read a book

I'm addicted to them. Especially since games these days are just tech demos, and movies have taken the Michael Bay approach and just blow shit up

My enthusiasm for PC gaming has sagged like an old nigger's tits. There are just no good fucking games.

Today's gaming is a lot like today's porn. The chicks aren't as hot and horny Christy Canyon and Asia Carrera, but I'll still strangle the shit out of my dick.

I disagree, Sasha Grey is so much better than Pamela Anderson ever was.

But ya, games suck today

Very good games IMO..

Crysis+CrysisWarhead{you can buy as a twin pack called Maximum}*
GTR Evo.....must use a gamepad or wheel though.
FO3

* must have enough grunt to run them at hi-res.

Good games...

Stalker SOC
GRID

Upcoming good games

Operation Flashpoint DR
RACE-ON...GTR EVO XP with more tracks and yank tanks.
Borderlands{maybe}
ME2

I've also maxed FEAR2005 on my 26in LCD at 1920x1200 and it's still one of the best looking games ever made, and it's atmosphere and gunplay are as good as it gets, especially with physics maxed.....Fear XP is also the same engine, so it looks just as good, but both Persues Mandate and Fear2 are shitty, especially P Mandate.

FYI Suislide disagreed already when the game was released.

When the game was released, it's maximum res was 16x1200, however, I'm running it at 1920x1200 with every single IQ setting maxed.

I've also seen the game at 16x1200 on my 26in LCD when I had a 6800GT with a mix of settings med-high, but with my 4850, I max it all including 4aa and 16af......but I think I'm getting 12x CFAA via my CCC.

I have Crysis and Warhead, so I know what good games look like, and this is one of them.
