Some aspects of the game are likable, like the infra red bombing on the chopper. also the flashback mission to russia was quite nice too. the rest nothing brilliant or memorable, except that i have a good memory in general...graphics are nice on some levels and ok in others. i would have wanted more levels in the middle east. obviously to tear the intestines of those terrorist pigs. anyways gameplay wise nothing new here...but not displeasing.
2. Mirrors Edge
i was expecting a shit girly game, but i was i was pleasantly surprised. this game breaths some fresh air in the shitty poop pit of current games. the gameplay is totally different and very enjoyable. in fact its quite addictive. the only drawback is poor combat mechanics and pathetic checkpoint restart in case you die. But still, despite wanting to give the best torture treatment money can buy for those devs who fucked up the above, it did not deter me to complete the game. hey did i tell you it was addictive? in addition to the gameplay another fresh approach is to the graphics component. levels are extremely artistically done. if your a person of hi taste like me, then you will definitely enjoy the game. but if your a moron which i am betting you most likely are, you will totally miss the point. better stuff your dirty tar-tar infested mouth with a couple of cheap mac burgers and you should be happy thru out the day you fat pig.
anyways getting back, mechanics is all about running and jumping and thats give you a sense of freedom. and there are some variation on how you run jump duck that add to the mechanics. as you proceed in the game you have think where to jump so that you can reach a particular point. its quite possible you may not be able to complete the level because of your limited intelligence. but fear not! as you must seek out masta leep's advice.
story wise nothing great, but i dont think it was aimed to win a booker prize, but def could have been better. the 2d cut scenes are pretty amateur like. they could have used the in game rendering engine instead which is amazing. the character look dam nice. eg that training chick looks pretty hot. the engine is unreal engine 3 and is modified. it uses Illuminate Labs Beast lighting which is responsible for those almost photo realistic lighting effects. no texture poopin like ut3
i finished the game and i was like shit, its over now what do i do?.....
3. left4 dead
....and so after reading sushi-slides advice i installed this game. and that was the biggest mistake of my life. let me frankly tell you.... this game is a piece of fucking dog shit mixed with cow dung and rat droppings with a lil bit of seasoned bird shit granules mixed with bulky beef patty like elephant shit chunks...all thrown in and blended with perfection.
it has shit graphics, shit levels and and shit zombies. its all shit 100%. all that happens in this fucking digital shit is this...
I. you move around
II. some zombies come at you
III. you shoot
IV. goto 1
if you are a person lacking basic human imagination or personality this digital poop is the best for you.
4. deus ex nameless mod
after 20 mins of playing left in turds.....i immediately uninstalled it cleaned my pc, installed deus ex nameless mod.......well i am a bit tired now with all the typing, so i will continue it at a later point. its time for some meditation.

I agree with the left 4 dead rant. It's a fun little mod you play for maybe 2 days before never thinking about it again. That whole "Director AI" bullshit doesn't cut it, it's too repetitive and simple.
Oh and although i didn't finish mirror's edge because i saw no point, the game looked fucking wonderful. Fuck crysis with their fancy graphics, mirror's edge took things in a different direction using something as simple as color contrasts. But god damn, was the game pointless. I mean, the story and the way you fought the enemies. I'm sure we'll see a sequel and actually have something to do in it.

COD4 I thought was a great game, but obviously with no replay value. I really liked the intensity in the game.
Mirrors edge I've heard a lot of bad things about, but at the end of the day, how do you build a game around jumping?
Left 4 Dead was a response to all the people who are furious over the fact that consoles don't have proper split screen games with bots.
Haven't played the Nameless Mod, but it's probably meant for older gamers like myself who want better story/gameplay at the cost of shitty graphics.

well you have to play the game to realize how they made it possible. see people are not so open minded as you think they are. give them new gameplay they resist it. grab a copy to find out which one you are.

Yeah but the versus thing sucks cock. Compared to team fortress ONE it's simple and small as fuck.

ok its been a long time since i played some. recently i have played these 2 adventure games and i am really liking adventure games.
1. Nikopol: Secrets of the Immortals
A short game costing $20 that can be finished in 1 or 2 days depending upon your intelligence level. > 2 days, then your a dull person. nice gfx, sound, music and voice acting. The puzzles are fun and innovative.
on the downside its short and the storyline could have been improved.
2. Memento Mori
This cost me around $30, and i never buy games more than $20, so an exception to the rule, because i felt i woudint be cheated.
wow this game is cool and long. it has 3 different endings. i read 8 somewhere. anyways i got a good ending.
the gfx are good, music is Ok. some parts the music is fine and in other parts is stupid. the same classical piano shit. pianos are so outdated. the voice acting in not bad. actually its fine.
the puzzles are not very hard to solve, but there are 2 puzzles that are kind of hard. but i cracked them anyways cause i am a smart person. no i am a very smart person. no i am the smartest person!! ok ?
what i dont like about the game is the way interface works. first of all you need to use both right and left mouse click on objects, since they give different actions. because it was not mentioned anywhere, i got stuck in the starting and i admit is searched the net to find out you need to use both buttons. i guess i am new to this adventure point and click stuff.
also when you point and click sometimes the camera can miss out some parts in the scene and you need to move around in the corners to reveal it and that can be quite irritating.
also when you click on some objects a short animation plays in the scene itself. but sometimes i dont need to see that animation, i just want to trigger the result of clicking on the object. so these are some of the minor pita's.
but it was fun and i am looking fwd to playing more adventure games. man they make fps experience feel like shit.

I concur. I can play adventures hours on end but FPS' bore me within 30 minutes. Pity there are so few modern adventures games out there, I will check out the ones you mentioned.
