L4D2 has been announced and there is already a call for a boycott. Rightly so, I would think: part 1 was really short and was supposed to be expanded over time, so any new content should be added to part 1 rather than sold as a new part 2.

Ok first of all this whole thing is stupid because Doug Lombardi has just recently (today or yesterday) that new content is coming out for L4D1 very soon.
Second, Valve has been releasing nothing but absolutely top notch products with damn good prices (Orange Box), having free weekends, and continuous support of their product...all the sudden they make a release which is a tad to soon and everyone feels like they are fucking owed something

It would seem obvious that the call for a boycott will be withdrawn if Valve really comes up with additional content for part 1. So far they seemed to have delivered little.

Ya but this is getting out of control, these game developers/publishers are basically printing money now. Take the NHL franchises, they pump out a new game with the same graphics every year.
