There are so many WWII games and they are SOOOO boring.
Any more boring and they'll have one centered on the Napoleanic wars.

Either it's not cool enough, or the fact that you don't get much variety running through trenches

I also wonder about that wwI thing. I mean it can'd be that you have shittier guns, for fuck sake there are medieval games out there.
The story is the same. The bad guys also lose. So what the fuck?

A WWI game would be like Ohama Beach in WWII all the time I guess, except with poison gas too. WW1 ended up not being about conquering cities but shelling them into oblivion, that's not fun gameplay, neither at the receiving end nor at the shelling end.
There are some flight sim WWI games, IIRC, and maybe Iron Storm is the closest thing to a WWI game (it played in a fictional world in the 60's in which WWI had never ended, so you got trenches but also helicopters, which makes little sense).

I'm trying to imagine what a WWI game would be like.
You run through trenches and then try to run across no man's land and you get mowed down.
You man the artillery and press the shoot button for 12 hours.
Could you imagine vimmy ridge: an entire battle devoted to taking over a ridge =P

ANY fucking battle from a world war 2 game has stopped been exciting for the last 9 or more years. It is overdone to hell. At least WW1 still is KINDA new teritory. I understand there is a better reason to go with 2 but the ratio to ww1 - ww2 is something like 1 to a gazillion.
Or better yet, fuck WW1 AND 2. Try something new you fucking retarded retards. I'm not talking about the developers, they make what's selling. I'm curious what the hell is up with people PAYING to play these games.
How can people still care? It's not even a historical reason. They don't want information, games are not there to educate. So what the fuck appeals to them? Killing the same generic german speaking soldier? Is it something in people's brains that make them want to kill when they hear german?
Fighting the same war over and over?

The one that really made me lose faith in humanity was COD: World at War. Why would you go back to the WWII setting? It's so gay.
Here's another question for you: How come there are so many WWII games but not as many Vietnam games. I'm not insensitive to that incident, and I appologize if anyone here is Vietnamese, I'm just saying that if you were going to profit from the misery of others, Vietnam seems like a better candidate.

Never heard of it, but this article seems to depict it briefly (that is, compared to the Wikipedia page), along with a fine description of the horrors of this war.

There seems to be a BF1942 mod called Battlefield 1918 so if you're into multiplayer you can find out.
