I remember that shortly before the release of Warhead Crytek announced it will no longer develop PC exclusives. So this comes as no surprise.
Gothic 4 will be developed for the consoles too (even by another developer, so this not much good is unlikely to come from that), so what (non-MMO) PC exclusives leaves us this with? Stalker, and what else? Maybe Risen (from Gothic 1/3 developer Piranha Bytes) and probably a few strategy games.

Do you think Crytek took a beating after releasing Crysis?
Does anyone use the Cryengine 2? It's the most inneficient POS ever.

It would come in handy only for makers of PC exclusives, and there aren't too many of those.

Risen will be out on the xbox360 too, but I understood Piranha Bytes will develop it for the PC and a different developer will port it to the xbox, so that's not necessarily a sign of emerging evil.
