Blame me for the look of the site. I'm sick of this look and I know suislide is. Back when I had nothing to do I spent a lot of time moding the code.
I don't currently have the time to invest finding a new theme and redoing all of the modifications. I've thought about porting everything to wordpress and separating the forum, but again It would require custom code for combining the registration (not to mention doing it in a way where the search engine rankings would not take a hit). Every time I start working on it I get about an hour in and realize I could be spending my time doing something that I'm actually getting paid for. : /
EDIT: Shit, I keep forgetting the spirit of the site.... I take all that back. Fuck all of you whining faggots. Go wack off to gamespot.
I see your point, but its been about 6 years with the same code...how about updating it and then we don't have to worry about it for another 6 years?

Yeah, I was thinking in the Gamespot style too, very flashy and appealing but the content is fucking disgusting. I'm not enough nerd to prefer mailing lists and newsgroups but every time I see the "Apple" kind of colors in a website I feel the suddenly need of using MS-DOS.
