Just finished FEAR 2, and raced to read the review (I would've finished the game long ago, but my 'special' version of windows demanded that I register that POS, so I had to reinstall and start from scratch)
First off, I fully agree that any game which says "press spacebar to continue" should have a point deducted
I was surprised that this game didn't turn out to be a complete piece of shit. It was really good actually.
A couple of bad things
-the replica voices are really gay now
-the game wasn't scary
-the 'hard' setting is UNREAL at times.
-grenades don't explode on impact
-the shock grenade is the biggest POS
-there are no more health boosters
-the game is consolized to hell. Context sensitive button mashing is neither challenging, nor fun.
-no autosave
A couple of good things
-The armachan soldiers (Vanek) are no longer tougher than the replicas (ATC were harder to kill than replicas)
-GRAPHICS!!
-For once, the body armour actually withstands more than half a bullet

It seems to require Steam, some (like me) would consider that a disadvantage.
