If you just yell that the game sucks you cannot be expected to be taken seriously anywhere, I would think. It does not seem too much to ask to explain...ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
*passes out on table*
*drools over keyboard*
*nurse runs over and performs emergency cpr*
*it's too late, peter has just died of boredom*
to turn that around, if you don't take people seriously b/c u haven't been given adequate information all at once and up front, no one will take you seriously.
These people could just as easily have asked for more information. Instead they judged like supreme court justice Robert Jackson and labeled the person a troll.

I think the problem with piracy is that u have an easy way to get cheap products (free games) without any consequence (secure internet connection) and hardly any punishment, and there is no moral issue, since u don't feel like you're stealing

I'm not even gonna go into that anymore. PC piracy is like religion. No point to argue, you either believe or not. Nobody would be convinced to change their mind.
The problem with piracy is there is non unless your selling bootlegs then you are taking money off the street and thus doing real world damage.
30% of the world is either under served or un interested in buying the game for for many reasons that don't always involve the monetary.
By the end of the day the same thing is true for anything mass market , you have to gain the interest of the majority of consumers if you don't you sink.
If copy right was not a joke and the DMCA infringes on personal use rights(soft/hard ware protection circumvention) I could side with corporate a bit more but with inf CP and march to make consumers criminal unless media is used when and where corporate tells you....
I have thought about CP and it really needs to focus on profit and not mere distribution, if you went after anything that made a profit on/offline then allowed for non profits to distribute anything they wish corporate could have its inf CP and treat illicit profit from media sells like drug sells, and the people(non roaming sheeple perhaps LOL) of the world could have their free range media for inspiration and education, while the majority of sheeple buy and consume as they always have and always will.
Its really a mess though CP is broken big content is buying laws to belittle both consumer and content creator whats the best way to boycott/civil discourse in a consumer driven society go off the grid and live off the lands... no...live off the digital lands perhaps but with the caveat that that those digital goods are not for resell.
I love box art so if I can find it under 30 new/20 old I'll but it, hell I even have alpha prime new for 20$(tho on ebay so whatever impact my 20 has is lessen a few times, the only way to get money to devs is by buying from first tier retailers otherwise the money is so dulitued they see little if non of its momentum) around here somewhere...never did open it though...I hate steam and refuse to have it on my system but I do has a steamless version somewhere.... LOL

To copy something is not to steal something. It's wrong, yeah but it's more that companies don't get some extra money. They're not losing money or products. They're losing POTENTIAL money.
Kinda like if I were to make a copy of your mom, it wouldn't be stealing her. We'd both have her, even if I don't deserve it, you don't lose anything.
"piracy" refers to making money selling cracked games. Something that doesn't exist anymore. A better word is needed.
Edit: ok fuck it, I said I won't but i started. I won't respond to this anymore.
Another edit, after reading zippy's post. Dude, I'm sorry but other than "piracy is bad" I didn't get anything else from your post. Might be my low IQ to blame because I don't see the point of that monster wall of text.

Zippy is a case of TL:DR in more than one ways ><
Bootleging is more defined as profit from unlicensed sale
You must understand that piracy is now anything media related that breaks the law and if you crack the game you own or copy the DVD you own to another format that's piracy on the same level of crime as downloading it.

And there was nothing in his posting history to warrant that? I do not follow that forum, so I could not tell.
