MGS2 focused heavily on fast paced stealth and it was great.

But 100% stealth, and zero action can get boring
True, when you dev a stealth game you have to allow for screw ups and fighting, a small 2-4 button QTE or combination system or coherent combat system to kill "active" enimes would be something you would need...badly..
The Forced stealth bits on Call of Juarez(cheap game with some innovation here and there) were very annoying, look at Dark Messiah(loved it superior AI than FO3/BS, great if quirky melee combat, yes story/dialog sucks but for me story/dialog<game play ALWAYS) or any of its shooter focused counterparts that have vaguely semi intelligent AI (Fear,far cry,ect) if you alert the area the AI in the immediate area will come and look around, I found those fights much more thrilling than oh sht I messed up now I am dead by the forced rules of the game.
At least give me the chance to rectify my mistake plus finishing off the random one or 2 that's limping off for more help, do all that in a fight while chaotic I revel in it , the on the rails kill this guy then quickly kill the next 3 without being seen is passe, I'd rather have a MGS like system where they send in 2-4 guys and or summon a sniper(unlike MGS's lemmings unlimited ) or something else than arbitrary rules of the game that limit how you play to a couple linear choices.
I forgot did Turok allow you to go into a QTE in knife mode regardless if they knew you were there?
I didn't care much for what they did with the game it did have a couple neat things loved the knife and a couple of the weapons but it was mostly boged down in to much pathetic realism but at least not on the same sale of the likes Quake 4 and Doom3....

Man that fucking sneaking shit made as much sense as including stealth in half life or unreal tournament. It had nothing to help him be stealthy, you just had to walk by the enemy without shooting. Play the game without having fun until you reach the other character.

No but it really bothers me when there is an army of dudes who claim that the game is average when it's anything but.
Like Far Cry 2 (one of the rare cases where the game sucked so badly, that there was some modest organization of users who blasted the game). I can't count the number of times I heard people say "the game isn't that bad"...The fuckin game gave me motion sickness.

I found Far Cry 2 incredibly mediocre, no point to play. But the FUCKING WEIRD thing about it is that not 100% of people called BULLSHIT on the name. The only thing it has in common in Far Cry 1 is that it's in the same genre, FPS. Yeah yeah, it's meh but where the fuck is the "far" or the "cry"? My question makes no sense, exactly like the sense it makes to call that game...Far Cry 2. It should have been called "A boring sand simulator FPS with no previous game behind it...cry"

Well, pirates cannot kill an existing game (except with respect to its support) but it would seem obvious that they can prevent a successor from coming onto the market.

If you just yell that the game sucks you cannot be expected to be taken seriously anywhere, I would think. It does not seem too much to ask to explain why the game sucks (unless everyone agrees with you of course or it is completely obvious to everyone that the game sucks).
Simply yelling that a game sucks without providing anything to back that up is like yelling "vegetarianism sucks" in a discussion about the ins and outs of vegetarianism. That is generally considered 'trolling'.
