There's like two and a half challenging games this whole generation and one of those is Hexic HD.
I'm fucking bored. Need Contra.

Maybe play some old-gen good games? I just got Silent Hill for the PC. I hope it's good.

He asks for current gen console games. Silent Hill (PC) is neither, so it would seem fair to assume this is where your suggestion ended up:

Silent Hill is actually for consoles. There was a PC port that was done to the first one by a different company.
Since he doesn't like the current gen games I assumed playing old ones was a good idea... I myself play almost all important new releases on the PC, yet I haven't played very many old games that are considered classics.
At least my suggestion was better than nothing. Nobody else posted anything.

I guess puk is the only regular here (if he still is a regular; he has not posted anything in the last week) who plays console games, so this may not be the proper forum for D's question in the first place.

LOL, I just browsed through some old posts and found this one. So it seems fair to assume that he did not follow your advice.

Hahahahha good one, he seems a real fan of the SH series.
SH is Resident Evil but less arcade, ambience more psychotic-sick and the rule about story "never explain anything so it would seem more complex and intriging". Both games share the bad camera angles, the intentional bad controls to make it more difficult, the crippled enemies that come into you at the lowest speed possible to give you time to aim with the controller and forcing a feeling of nervousness, etc...

Ya I was in Spain for 3 nights with a friend, and every time I came to make a post he'd irritate me by firing off a barrage of questions. I just gave up after a while

I gave up on consoles around Dec 08.
I read somewhere that God of War on the highest setting is INSANE.
Also MGS2 for the PS2 was the hardest game IMO. On the hardest setting you literally get one ration for the whole game.
Current gen, I dunno, everything is so easy.
Burnout Revenge is hard, but that's only b/c you crash into: on coming traffic, same way traffic, crossing traffic, parked traffic, the odd telephone pole inconveniently placed right in front of a 'big air' jump, the edge sticking out of a wall you could've sworn was flat, and the massive building in front of you you were too stoned to see.
