Every Indian person is going insane over the movie Slumdog Millionaire. I haven't seen people act this crazy since the Iran-300 affair.
I did a google search for "Slumdog Millionaire Sucks" and I was expecting for legitimate critiques of how the movie is boring, and how it outright stole elements from movies such as City of God and The Red Violin. Instead I saw a full fury of people named "Harinder" and "Arindam Chaudhuri" and "Viswanathan" complaining about how it makes India look bad.
I would hate to be the director right now.

Shooting messengers has at all times been popular. It is just so much easier than addressing the real problem.
The only people who seem truly able to acknowledge the mistakes they have made (as a people) seem to be the Germans (but I doubt this extends beyond WWII). Others just shoot messengers or shift blame.

Good point, that's why I go out of my way to try to be neutral. Like when I tried to calm Iranians down over this 300 BS

Was there really such controversy over this 300? I had to google it to find out what you are talking about.
It would seem silly to become angry because your ancestors of more than 2000 years ago are now depicted as barbarians. Back then probably everyone was.
