VideoGamesSuck.com :: View topic - Grid vs GTR evo...I own both.
Better graphics...by a margin.
Easier to control the cars.
Very polished overall.
I also bought some unlock codes and now have the Conisegggggg at Spa doing 340km/h

WTF is GTR? Grand Theft Racing (that's right, I went there)
Dude do a review. Do a review of Grid v GTR
Shit you could do a review of Caddyshack and they'd accept it here this site is so lacking in material

I haven't played either enough to do a review, but I've played enough to know that Grid is good, GTR evo is mediocre at best.
Suislide's next game review will be Fear2.
This site is probably black banned from many people's work PC's cause of the language, LOL.

I think Grid might be the best game of them all{that I have}......it's not perfect, but it's fun, polished and I want to keep playing it.
GTR evo is like driving in the rain all the time, the handling sucks and the sense of speed is appalling......you rarely feel like you're going fast, not to mention the cars in GTR look like stick insects compared to Grid's.

After a bit of fiddling, I've made GTR evo playable to the point I can win races, however, it's still woefully annoying and unrealistic at times, ie, when you're only doing 60-70km/h and it wants to fishtail and slide like you're doing 180 in a 60 zone.

YES!!!!, it's 2009, now we look forward to a raft of console ports,........ I love being alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re-Grid.....when you select a race track, you're given a number of options, for ex, if you select "Detroit", you also get the B circuit{which is reverse}, and 2 or 3 other variations, so Grid has heeps of tracks.
Driving a Zonda or a Coniseggggggggggg around the street circuits is insane....both these fuckers hit 250kph if you give it a few seconds, and they top out at about 340-345kph on the power circuits.
They also have a number of Lemans cars that have awesome brakes and handling.
Also, the cars in Grid are big...no stick insects like GTR.

the greatest racing game ever was Road & Track's Need for Speed. It had a kick ass video for the Dodge Viper (it was big back in the day), and the races were actually fun

Champ....I've recently dled from Steam, HL1, and Quake2 demo....and they both look like shit and have very basic gameplay compared to todays games.......it wasn't till 2003-2004 that games picked up graphically and began to get serious about physics and character animations etc.

that's a pretty obvious comment, that's like me saying todays GDP is greater than that of 30 years ago.
You have to evaluate games at the time that they are released, otherwise, all atari games are pure shit.

Never drink and drive
Mathew Broderick found that out the hard way.

GRID is the best, way better than those NFS's that EA regurgitates every year. I'm still playing it because I just can't get bored of this game. I think I've finally found THE game that I was looking for so much time.

Ok, so I bought a XBOX 360 controller for EVO and yippity do dah it's made a world of difference.
I've also dled a number of cars and tracks, eg, Monaco{awesome}, Montreal, Laguna Seca+ 3 Ferrari's.
As this is a sim, it's kind of completely different to GRID and I probably shouldn't have compared them.....but needless to say, driving a ENZO or BMW M3 with 600BHP around Monaco or Laguna is good fun.
