Pogma, even if you have controlled scientific experiments there are bound to be observations which can not be explained

I'm not so much saying you're wrong, just urging you to not jump to conclusions.

All the evidence indicates that it was a failure of the Bush administration b/c they didn't listen to warnings from the information sector that an attack was imminent.

The big one now is nuclear strike. The CIA estimates the risk of a nuclear strike on the US in the next 20 years is 50%. That's huge, but no country is destroying their stockpiles of nukes. If a nuke strike starts, people will undoubtedly jump to the conclusion that the govnt did it

Read Praetorian guard and it lists all the nukes that have gone missing. One off the coast of France, one in a swamp in the US, and the famous nuclear reactor off that soviet sub back in the day. These are serious problems.

I find that by chasing these "conspiracy theories" the left really is wasting its energy. The neo cons love it too, b/c

b)The left discredits itself.

And always remember, a building is a complicated thing, if you smash it with a bludgeon, all sorts of things could happen ;)

Perhaps some can't be explained, but did you watch any ytube vids where fire fighters and maintenance crew mentioned explosions in various spots thru-out the building, including the lower levels?

Of course, if explosive devices were pre-planted, then this would explain the free fall speed of the collapse.

Btw, I have an interest in science and philosophy, and after examining some of the 9/11 basic facts, there's no way I buy the official story.

Anyway, it doesn't appear as though I'm getting thru to you and the admin is about to throw a tantrum, so we best terminate this discussion.

Ya I saw one of those youtube videos, and it made some really strong arguments.

They said the same thing about Putin when that building block came down in Russia. It was a similar scenario with regards to the London tube attacks.

My argument is simple. The intelligence system is very porous, so at least one agent would have come forth to testify that the Bush administration planned this. Look at the Valerie Plame case. Ambassodar Wilson came forward when the Bush administration lied about something as simple as purchasing Uranium from Nigeria. Every little bit of deceit was uncovered in that situation, and it eventually led back to Novak. Now lying about Uranium supplies is a footnote compared to slaughtering thousands of your own people.

That's my main argument against yours.

Youtube is just as much (or as little) a reliable source as mainstream media.

Facebook IMO is a good source of information b/c it contains all sorts of viewpoints, and encourages discussion.

Suislide you upset the delicate balance we had here. We were having a discussion and you came along and busted out the big guns.

Well the press does regularly censor information. Take the case with Time Immemorial, by Joane Peters. Finklestein tried desperately to get through to the NYT that the book was racist propaganda but they didn't listen to him.

But there's no precedent for this tracing all the way back to Nero. This isn't the president carrying out aggression against Nicaragua 3000 miles away. This is an elected representative slaughtering his own people. I would at the very least expect some CIA agents to try to smoke out the mainstream press.

I think this whole jewish people owning the media is a myth. They certainly influence it, AIPAC for example was a staunch supporter of the current invasion of Iraq, and their cheerleader is wolf blitzer, but I think America would steam roll over the jews if they ever stepped out of line

All I'm trying to say is that you should approach everything with an open critical mind.

If you read over my posts you'll see that I agree with you on basic issues.
