A good overall mix is important, and in Skyrims case, we have excellent combat{vastly improved over Obl}, we also have very good GFX with both Bethesda HD+2K textures, plus there's outstanding sound, outstanding environments, a full wide ranging climate, and excellent character animations in many instances.
I'm of the view that AAA games should aim to be relative to the available hardware, so we certainly don't want excessive numbers of enemies at the expense of GFX, especially as Oblivion don't look that good even with it's full HD texture pack.
Skyrim has plenty IMO, but no-one's forcing you to like it, so may I kindly suggest you STFU and leave these forums, you're primarily here to troll little ole me and you're no match, so stop embarrassing yourself and take a moment to reflect on the nonsense that formulates within your skull, and ideally, refrain from posting anything unless it's of substance.

Animations are piss-average to basic-standard from Oblivion, graphics are average at best, environments are little more than set pieces with absolutely no content other than just being visibly 'pretty', the combat is on par with World of Warcraft in terms of what you can do with it and hasn't even remotely changed from the Oblivion engine, the sound is pretty much standard even when you ignore the typical Bethesda-grade voice-acting range.
Just because you keep on telling yourself that all those things are actually vastly superior, doesn't mean that they magically become so. And I like that you go ahead and accuse other people of trolling 'poor me', when you've spent this entire time spouting false, moronic bullshit about how the graphics are all that matters in gaming and nothing else.

And yes, Oblivion was available on consoles. However, unlike Skyrim, Oblivion was made for PC first, then ported over to consoles, and not the other way around. Because Oblivion was made back when it was still during the time period when gaming devs hadn't turned into console trash-peddling morons that cater to idiotic mentalities such as yours.

Yes but the new Creation engine is far superior to old Gamebro or whatever Obl was, as such, many necessary improvements were made, and I'm thankful as I don't care for dodgy Obl GFX, character animations, facial animations, piss poor voice acting etc, etc.
Skyrim scored over 200 GOTY awards, that alone speaks volumes of it's overall quality.....
Good Game Australia scored it a 10/10
Angry Joe a 10/10 and considered it a benchmark for judging RPG's.

Sorry dipshit, but not every reviewer is worthless.....actually, some of them are a bit too generous with bad/ordinary games, but when a games sweeps the entire industry with awards, you know there must be merit.
Who cares what the origin of the Creation engine is, it's still FAR SUPERIOR TO FALLOUT3/NV.....and with HD textures is a beautiful game on PC.
