I'm using a console right now because 1. i got it for free 2. it has some exclusives i like, and 3. its better than nothing and i will play it till i build a new PC. For anyone who cares, using my i3570/16gig 1600mhz BIG RAM, and a 7950 allows Crysis3 to run at 1920x1200 maxed+low AA, so if you buy a PC at about my spec, it'll take one humongous game to slow it down, as such I expect my PC to be viable for 2yrs, though a GPU upgrade is always a possibility in 18-24months time.
