I've just finished with the game DEADLIGHT.
For me, it was a good game. It has the zombie apocalypse-theme and the LIMBO-TRINE-old skool PoP style 2D platformer gameplay which I know and love. And it's was sweet.
It looks quite good using the unreal engine and the backgrouds are detailed (little to no reused objects). The story is okay I guess. Voice acting was nice too.
There were a few things that made no sense however like reloading your gun is supposed to take time, but it only does for the first bullet, if you repeatedly press R fast, then all the 6 bullets gets reloaded in your revolver. Or when you run from the soldiers they wait for you to help Stella up the ledge then both of you make it to the other side of the fence, and ONLY THEN they start to shoot you again which was like WTF. And the ending was a bit stupid and I cannot talk about it without spoiling it so I make an example here and I won't.
You don't need to stress your brain too hard thinking on what to do, and as the game progresses you need to time better, be faster, perform longer connecting moves. It's like a zombie parkour game. And overall, it's done right. But it won't take you too long, not like it cost you the price of a full game. Anyway it is deffinetly a good one, with nice gameplay and an athmosphere finally done right.
And some good extras like diary pages helping you getting into the game, heaps of concept arts, you can also find quartz handheld games (we are at 86' here) on the ways and ID cards, newspaper cutouts and small personal items to get the big picture.
Reminded me of Hard Reset as that game wasn't too long but had great and good amount of content, with comic book-style storytelling between stages while having great gameplay and good graphics.

The new DmC. It's not bad. It's fun enough to play if you're into mindless button mashing and flashy shit flying around the screen. And the protagonist doesn't look like a drag queen anymore.

I probably wouldn't torrent it even if i had a current pc. Sold my last PC to help pay for various things. I'm reduced to using a shitstation actually, which has made me quite depressed, actually.

You can play DS3 if you can play DS2. It's the same engine.

I will eventually but i got the ps3 for free so ill just play the exclusives it has then sell it. Uncharted is actually quite good for a console game

Just installed the Witcher (Enhanced Edition) and played if for an hour or so. So far it doesn't seem to be my type of game: I understand why this is often compared to Baldur's Gate, a game I couldn't get into at all. I had hoped it would be more like Gothic / TES. Anyway, I'll give it a few more hours.

Currently replaying Metal Gear Solid 3. Not quite as amazing as it was before do the clunky controls but still love it. Also playing lots of old school styled side scrollers lately do to their replay value and cheap price.
