6.2 gig demo holy shit. I don't even like sounding like a grumpy old fuck but I miss the old days where it didn't take you days to download some piece of shit game and another hour to install it. Not to mention nowadays these installers scatter their shit everywhere. Temporary folders, settings folder, saves folder, temporary settings folder, shitfuckthehell folder. Used to be they just put the software in a folder, and to uninstall it you just deleted the folder. Nowadays even if you uninstall a game it buttfucks your registry with a billion dead entries and your filesystem with a thousand ghostfolders it doesn't even tell you about. And don't you just love the questions they ask you when you just want to deinstall the software? "Would you please fill out our survey and tell us why you deinstalled?" No asshole, how about you just google your own product and read what people wrote about it instead of annoying me even further? "Would you like to keep your settings?" OH SHIT YES! I'd love to keep them as a token of our love baby. Something to remind me of those 10 minutes it took you to piss me off and cause me to uninstall you. They do this because they hope you'll reinstall their piece of shit OS-rapist software one day. Fat chance. And the size isn't even due to extra textures, sounds etc. It's because they use bulky bullshit technologies to program their bullshit games. I bet half these games would be smaller if they didn't pack them full of DRM, GFWL or Steam bullshit. Not to mention all the redundant bulky code we get because it's always just a shitty port. And what do they even think when they put this DRM shit in there? "Oh, yeah, we used a new DRM API and encrypted the shit out of keys. We're also forcing every customer to log on to our calculator-watch of a server in order to play their singleplayer game. Let's see Skidrow or Razor1911 crack this now! Hah!" Fucking dumbasses. It might take the crackers another hour or so more but eventually they'll crack everything, you hopeless fucks, stop annoying everybody with this nonsense.

Buuuut back on topic, no I didn't try it yet... sorry.

I suspect it's the full game unless someone tells me otherwise, but I'm curious about what you get in terms of playtime, ie, is it a lockout after x minutes or just access to the first part/level.

Steam estimates my dl time would be 1hr 45mins, but I don't want to dl 6gig if it's a time limited demo.

more than 6 gigs for a DEMO?!
Might as well download the full game instead and try that. It might even be faster too.

Well, apparently the demo contains the beginning of the game, and since it is an open world game you could expect it to be big.

Will you be posting a review?

The game generally does seem to get a bad press, apparently Piranha Bytes screwed up (for the first time - that is not counting the beta versions they released in the past but the final fully patched up versions).
