Cut the bullshit, I've watched plenty of ytube walkthru on both MW and Oblivion, and wasn't sold on either, especially MW.....but I did buy Obl, but it won't play nice with my PC.
Oblivion's got nothing against MW. Every location looks the same in that title, every forest, every grassy plain, every city with it's stone walls and shit.. You would do yourself a great wrong if you miss out Morrowind just because it has animations of 2002. Once you start the game and go wanderin' you forget about animations. A few youtube videos won't give you the experience. That game is so much more in a lot of ways (skills, spells, equipments, locations, diversity, quests.. etc). Oblivion is Morrowind ALPHA with better graphics.
Also: in Morrowind the voice acting of the dark elves are way better. And every race looks a lot more diverse not just a different head on the same model. And a different colour in the same head!

oh, and have to add that the music is 734769523234854952 times better.
no kidding, it's the best score out of the 3 games maybe mostly because the locations are so diverse they had to make different kinds of music too not just the usual shit.

Some people made the entire Morrowind as a mod for Oblivion, so you can play Morrowind with the engine of Oblivion.
...with all of Oblivion's faults, I mean the demented looking heads and bodies and the menu, and loeding screens and... well it's just better to play everything the original way (with the updated graphics pak) because that way, you're sure to get every skill and items properly.
So my pick is still the original Morrowind with the Overhaul 2.0. it looks almost like Oblivion anyway. Maybe not that great in the field animation (although still nice of you ask me) but deffinetly with better models and faces.

I think my PC has a dodgy codec install somewhere and is giving me grief with Oblivion, so I can't associate anything with it, besides, the combat in Oblivion isn't very good, and MW is even worse, so regardless of it's other merits, I'm going to pass.
I will attempt Obl on my next reinstall, but I'd probably only give it 15-20hrs to win me over.

i liked oblivion but morrowind is far better. you can install it play with it i think you'll like it. butit's nothing against morrowind. i played both for ages.
and the combat in morrowind is just the same as in oblvion.
but it features more spells, more skills, more weapons and more powerful equipment thus making it a lot more interesting and enjoyable in termsof combat too.
