first game played this year and feels gud getting back to gaming after a while......remember reading sslides review about HR a while back.....ok so its not bad, but not thrilling as first one in 2000
the gameplay is more or less the same design as the original. gfx is the usual lackluster stuff you see these days. textures are boring. illumination model sucks cause you see sudden illumination changes which dont make sense. some levels like the bitches penthouse was done with effort some artistic work in there...but the rest of it was pretty boxy, like a cheap bj. however with AA + hi res 32" monitors it kinda becomes borderline bearable.
the wow factor is missing in this game....still the levels are big enough to keep me busy and cocoon at home sippin on red bulls avoiding all forms of human contact possible except at work unfortunately. combat is shit and the weapons lack punch. it seems more like a hacking game.
they tried to make the story interesting like the first one, but you know after a while if you try to copy the conspiracy theory stuff, the brain rejects the suspension of disbelief.
the music is mediocre and there was only one track at the tai something medical center skyscraper which sounded original....the rest of the music nothing much to praise about. no where near mr brandon's creations done on the outdated tracker software using samples less than 2mb.....this disappoints me. today we have better hardware and software to make music, but the end result is lacklusture...not inspirational in any way....i read some comments on ytube some kids who thought that the music was awesome...i really feel sorry for these young souls...feed yourself low quality plastic music, you will never know what good game music is...this new gaming generation is doomed.
...so i reached the lab where you see those bodyworks figures moving up and around mechanically...into a boss fight now....off to finish the namir dude.

i liked deus ex hr.
i don't have too much love for electronic music but it was fitting here and i found it good. basically the whole game was awesome as i was always aiming for the ghost - xp bonus. the story was good and i don't think that there are that much conspiracy games. skills were nice too, although with all the xp from the ghost bonus and the fact that i've taken down like 90% of the people and never killed anyone (even while i rescued malik) i almost got every possible augmentation.
and after i've finished it i found this game EPIC.
played through the missing link after a few days too.

almost 99.99% of music you get today is electronic is one way or the other.[since the 90's]. perhaps you meant synthesized music and not guitar etc.........there is no music in hr, its mostly dull sequences that dont fit the game at all. the ambient sfx is good, but the music is non existent except for one level. if you played the first deus ex you would know. obviously you havent.

hr story revolves around the same story telling formula and doesnt grip you. i am close the end , there is nothing amazing about the game. sure they didnt fuck it up like deus ex2, by following the same style as the first one they didnt deliver anything new to the table. i have been getting the ghost xp too.....most of the time i find my self hacking computers and thats boring. why the fuck cant i creep behind turret and open its back panel and cut its wires? or why can i use a frequency jammer to jam its signals? obviously they didnt think too much.

finished the game.......and now that its done it was boring....it will never close to the glory of deus ex1...never ever
