It is (not surprisingly) the best played game on Steam currently.
A quick copy and paste from the stats below. Some surprises:
- Terraria on 3. Never heard of that;
- CS on 4, amazing for such an old game
- low ranges for relatively new games, like Saints Row 3, Deus Ex 3, Rage and Serious Sam 3 (but for the latter 2 it may be because these do not require steam, so not all players will be logged in)

K, so Steam finally reduced the price of Skyrim and I bought it, only played for 40mins or so, but here's some quick thoughts.
GFX....unlike both FO3 and especially ugly New Vegas, I have no burning desire to upgrade the textures or do anything as far as GFX changing mods, also, thankfully, they've gone back to the night time similar to FO3 vs Vegas's softcock night sky.
I'm using a C2D e8400, 4 gig ram and a 6850 and I'm running at 1920x1200, ULTRA+2xaa+16xaf....no slowdowns or CTD as yet.
Obviously they could've made the game more demanding, but given the fact that it looks pretty decent as is, and there's texture mods+ they'll release the mod tools, I have no major issue with the GFX, the only minor point is shadowing can be a bit inconsistent, but a simple ini change might fix, of course, each patch will reset you back to default.
I've only been in a few caves/dungeons, but they don't have the ugly low res mess of textures that Vegas has, and water looks detailed, but animations could be better.
Sound.........not terrible by any means, but not blowing me away just yet, I wonder if I've got a slider in the wrong place....I'll have to look at that latter.
Combat.....I'm using some heavy looking mofo of an axe and a shield, I'm also playing on adept, so not under much pressure, but I thought I'd take it easy till I learn the ropes.
Combat is ok, nothing special, but at least it works fairly well, but lacks any real thud..... not sure if games like Dark Souls or Witcher2 have a more satisfying feel or not, but I never bought this game for the combat, and as I said, I've had no problems using it, which is more than I can say for other games that have been quickly uninstalled.
I haven't even used an arrow yet, but some fucker blindsided me, and I took a arrow to the balls.
User Interface.
I was worried about this, and worried about remapping keys, but this game works fine with KB&M....I use right mouse button to walk/run, left mouse as my right hand, and up arrow as my left hand, works fine for me.
This a fairly good console port if you ask me, as I don't have any major issues with the UI, though I do think they perfected it in FO3/Vegas.
Story and general thoughts.
I hope I won't be overwhelmed by a 100000 weird sounding names, as I'll wonder who the fuck's who, but I've yet to play enough to know for sure.
The games pace is slow and seems to lack the tension that FO3 and Vegas muster, but I'm only early on, so I'll give it a chance.
For me at least, the quality of the GFX, and smoothness{this is a very smooth game compared to the pop up insanity of Vegas}, the quality of the UI, and respect paid to the PC version means this should ideally be played on PC, and you only need a $100 GFX card for 1080p.
The one thing that worries me about replay, is whether or not it's combat is difficult enough to warrant leveling up, cause in both FO3 and Vegas, leveling up makes life easier, but they're still difficult games if you want them to be.
I have a strong feeling that only the storyline and loads of dull quests could weigh me down on this game, so here's hoping it's fun and rewarding.

ah ha, two handed weapons have more of a thud compared to one handed.
I'm going to experiment with the diff level, as most opponents are 2 easy, but some would be quite a challenge on master level...
