I have tried to become even more fucking cool for a few months by using
- u instead of you
- ur instead of your and even you're
- 2 instead of to and too
etc etc and by not using interpunction or caps (the captn has been doing this for year but that's out of utter laziness/retardedness). This minimalist design is fashionable: browser interfaces are getting less and less buttons, devices (especially those with name starting with "i") are getting less and less buttons, games are using less and less button, maybe even pogma will get the picture now.
Now the experiment has ended, it failed, less is not more, the old Alez is back!

You'd probably come across a lot cooler if you/u used "Newspeak" in the context it was meant to be used.

In 2008 it was still acceptable ("strong" even) to him, unlike much more recent PC games like the original Half-Life which he allegedly cannot play any more due to the outdated graphics. I never had a megadrive but it it is safe to say that the graphics it could produce pale in comparison to those of HL.

well i dont think it was possible for him to recommend it @vgs back in the 90s....so i think its ok to mention in now and then. btw i had a megadrive too in 93-94, it was very enjoyable. would i recommend it now? no cause u could just use a rom instead

Yes, he could say that back then it was a good system, like he said that in th old days HL was very good. But that's not what he said. He said in 2008 that the megedrive was "still a strong standalone system to this day" while at the same time claiming that 'to this day' HL (which is much less old) sucks merely because of the outdated graphics. Don't you see the inconsistency here?

My attitude towards gaming in 2011 is a bit different to what it was in 2008 when they were making a handful of good games and some promising future releases.
For example, regardless of how slick Deadspace2 is, I reject it's console lazy button mapping.....for that reason alone I'll never pay more than $9.99 via steam.

nowdays if i see an advertisment of pc's they're mostly about laptops and netbooks. and if i see an ad of a game, it is almost presented in a way, like if it's for consoles only.
so most people are getting an x-box or a ps3 to satisfy their gaming needs (which is playing an fps with a gamepad as it seems) and a laptop just for internet or to watch some movies. they don't need it for anything else.
i think the only console that's okay is the gba (sp/micro). unlikely the psp or nds, this device is simple and small enough with long lasting batteries. you can play it for a bit and put it down like a book. it's no pc and does not want to compete with it because it is for different needs. when you're home you can play on your computer. and playing anywhere else just don't fit into the lives of most people so they don't see how a handheld can be useful. and they're right from their own angle. it's not for everyone. but for folks taking long train rides or flights (or being receptionists) welcomes this device because they can put it to use.
