i encountered a strange fact about the indian government, and since some of you are from (puk) or currently living that place (master) if i remember right, it came natural that i ask if you approve or deny my findings.
sadly i can't seem to remember the source where i saw this but it was an article telling me that 20% of the members of the indian parliament, so those politicans that are actually governing india, are named as perpetrators in cases considering violet murders and rapes.
that must be caste related, and even then, it's quite unbeliavable. and they are still in those seats? that's quite.. interesting to say the least. is there any truth to this?

from my experiences here...there is no system for anything. No procedures, very wishy washy. Unlike the US you donot need to have a criminal background check to be a politician i was told by my coworker. According to me they are 150years back in development to the west. its not just that, its totally different here, attitude and culture.

Yes I have heard of the extreme 'corruption' in Indian politics, but have never looked into it.

ya I'm sure Afghanistan and Pakistan are more corrupt than India, but those two countries are falling apart, India always brags about how they are the world's biggest democracy
