I'm replaying Deus Ex and working on finishing Just Cause 2. I might install Metro 2033 before school starts.

That and Conflict Denied Ops or whatever were real shit, a real low point in an already compromised gaming timeframe.
That link is about cock juice (The Captn's favourite type of juice). What does it have to do with HL2

just bought planescape torment today. i finished baldur's gate + fallout 1-2, both series was awesome, so i definetly look forward to this game. heard it's got a bit darker mood wich must be cool. but i believe i will have trouble accepting the protagonist which is a zombie and almost naked. how can i be a thief looking like that? or a mage? also my stat points are shit low.
for those here that played the game: any suggestions on what charater to make? personally i would like a cunning thief-kinda guy instead of a barbarian.. sadly our character resembles the latter.

Play it like you want I guess. I played it as a warrior IIRC and later learned you are really powerful as a mage, so after finishing it I replayed as a mage, but found it less fun because this was not really 'my' character.

heard that if you want to delve into the story, your int, wis, cha should be high.. that means the mage is the optimal choice.. but i do love to backstab people (in games of course) and to be invisible, also just HATE it if a door is locked so that room, a very part of the game is taken away from me.
but the character doesn't look like a thief. it's a fuckin barb. shit.
also nobody's putting any point to constitution even if your a barbarian, because you have so small amount of points to share among your stats. you give yourself a fair str and that's it. no high dex or con. also you'll be dumb and ugly.

What does it matter how the character looks? IIRC clothes will adapt his appearance to the choices you make anyway. If you like to play the thief way, I would suggest to do. Surely you will miss part of the game, but any other choice make will have this effect (you'll only miss other parts of the game).

I won't miss any part of THIS gaem, because i'm not the only playable character in the party. we'll have a fighter/thief, a fighter/mage, fighter, mage, cleric...etc so if i won't unlock a door or cast a spell, someone else will. but high charisma and intelligence will affect the dialogue options.
my point regarding character creation was just an opinion for games with lone heroes in it, a'la oblivion or morrowind (of course at the end those games my character mastered everything from lockpicking to enchanting. thus lost it's general look ofa character and become the one and only god of that universe. flying through the land through the sky at 346563463467 mph with magic, and immune to all. don't exactly know when was the time i was playing with a game that featured one character, and that advanced to power but still remained true to in it's original ways.

due to that there's like not a single game that got me interested i'm playing with planescape torment now. problems of yesterday seems solved as i noticed that every levelup comes with a +1 to the attribute points. and the story's getting interesting, but i'm still at lvl 6 because i rarely got the time to play. so onto the topic:
I'm planning to buy a laptop. But it seems I can't really make up my mind. Fancied a machine with really good attributes, great gfx card also. It's expensive allright, but I'm planning to use it for a long time. For internet, some games and Adobe CS3.
OR: Since I bought this Planescape Torment and now also Baldur's Gate I+II with both expansion packs, I'm not that confident anymore. I only finished the main games 5-6 years ago and I want to start over, now with exp packs also. And that will take maybe even a whole year from my life. So since I won't make use of the Blueray and nVidia GeForce GT130M 1GB, I might a well buy a small netbook, set up the Planescape and the Baldur's Gate series by an outer DVD ROM (no disc necessary after the install) and I'm all set for a long time. Ok no Adobe but since I wont plan to make use of any good gfx card for maybe a year (at least for games), I might as well save my money.
