typical, they found something magnificent, so they put it in a lab, throw it under cameras, and surrounding it with doctors.. first thing is to lock it up. why not study it in it's own enviroment? much more could be learnt that way. it's the only specimen we know with this ability, so they should've been more careful. they're not supposed to interfere with it, watching is the only thing they should do if it's allowed by the subject. that's how it should be.
i think gramps will be gone in a few weeks under this state. then they'll announce that this myth is.. busted. (at least they won't get the old man's secret)
of course it's highly questionable to say the least. how's his digestion system? in the dawn of the "space age" in the sixties they wanted to feed the astrunauts with liquid food only. it had every kind of energy, fat whatever needed.. needless to say it's consumers soon started to chew on their clothes, and complaining about constant stomach aches.
our digestion system's not designed on feeding on air (or liquid) only.. it always working and if we're not threw down something for it to wrestle with, it starts to eat itself.

there could be some truth in it if the military is interested. if they will be successful they will put the newly gained ability to military uses. at least that's what they say. which doesn't sounds too good. not to mention he's 83 years old.. don't think that they care about gramps, the main objective is to get his secret. which they don't deserve.
