Yep....they've somehow managed to make this more demanding than Crysis...I couldn't get smooth frames at 1920x1200, so I dropped it back to 12x800 and it's fine, but it just doesn't have the graphics to justify such a performance penalty....it still looks "good", but isn't in the same league as Crysis/Stalker CS etc.
I've only played 10mins of the game, it's a bit softcock, but not too bad as the weapons are awesome, ie, they're smooth, excellent fire-rate{variable}, fantastic sound and the hit detection seems top notch......I also did a fancy snipe from behind cover using my AK47 with scope....nice.
You can order your team to enter and take out a room with 2-3 enemies, or you can do it yourself.
I bought this for about $22 off ebay......and I feel as though I'll play thru it, but I much prefer GRAW1/2, and especially GRAW2 with it's MSG90 sniper......one of the best weapons I've ever encountered in a FPSer.
Considering the outrageous performance requirements sans any real technology to back it up, and considering the fact that the R6V series are really glossy tactical shooters that don't try and match the gritty authenticity of GRAW, I don't think tjhis game can ever be worth the $80 they charge upon release, but I can see myself playing thru this game.
In GRAW2, you simply cannot rush your enemies as you can in R6V, so if you want a more genuine tactical type of FPSer, then go for GRAW2, which is also a better game than GRAW2006.
R6V2 frames at 1920x1200 maxed=12-14......WTF??????
GRAW2 frames at 1920x1200 maxed=65-70.
Crysis frames at 1920x1200 high+2aa- 25-32{this is very playable, no stutter or lag}
I have a e8400 and 4850.

My attitude is to only review something that is at least 7.5/10......so that someone might be tempted to buy the game at bargin bin prices and have some fun, but I'm thinking this game will be a 6.5-7/10 at best.
It seems well built in that the gun mechanics and movement are excellent, but I don't think it's that much better than RV6 other than the weapons and slightly better graphics.
I can't get over how much of a hardware killer this game is....it makes Crysis look like a sheer act of coding genius.
I also just bought Riddick Dark Athena and I'll probably play those first.

Out of curiosity, why are you so keen for a review of this game...?

I just find a lot of people come on the boards and essentially give a review of the game.

Whoops....I had my CCC settings maxed, that's why the frames were so low, but here you can see that I've maxed the ingame settings at 1920x1200 and I'm getting 60fps.
This is the AK47 with scope....yeah, fuck yeah!!!!
