Yeah, completed the tutorial and then never felt like going back. I had it installed for maybe a month and yet i never played again.
Everything feels so "been there, killed that".
It's a better version of age of empires 3, combined with some civilization 4 and...any game with ships and pirates.
So...anyone played company of heroes tales of valor?

Hardly anyone here plays strategy or sim games it seems. Maybe you could do the reviews for those?

Never played Empire: Total War, but I always look at the box with the guy screaming and think to myself, "This looks like a game I might one day buy".

On second thought: do not bother submitting reviews yet, but work on them a bit first. Elaborate a bit and incorporate some funny stuff.

So Alez are you getting your games from the store or from torrents/ dc++? I know captn Pugwash will be your best friend if you choose the 2nd option.

I'm playing Empire Total War with India . I like this game, but the annoying thing is the big wait time at the end of the turn where the other nations make their turns. Maybe the problem is my computer, because the game generally runs a bit slow.
Anyway, I think this is a solid game: 7.5 maybe 8.0.

Empire and Medieval 2 are rushed and fucking unoptimized games, the better game in the Total War series was Rome. You need like a fucking Twentycore to get positive FPS in very low details.
Empire isn't a good game from any perspective:
-It uses the same "DirectX grass" I've seen a million times before, and not in a particular good way because it feels blurry and with cheap HDR.
-Historically seems written by a 17 years old wigger from Los Angeles whose only knowledge of History is taken from MTV (until Medieval 2, they were fairly accurate). Historical units are very cheap and you can only don't feel offended if you live in a trailer park and the most ancient time you have ever heard is the 1960s. The written descriptions of soldiers and buildings seem made by [quoting Suislide own words from another game]: "some mexican in his basement after he was passed out after taking too much vicodin"
-Textures everywere belong to a 2003 game, specially the close pictures of soldiers in their description in the turn based mode, that are depicted with a low res texture inspired in their look in the RTS mode. A concept art picture in that place would be fucking way better, but really it wouldn't because units are fucking historically non-accurately cheap.
-CPU issues I've stated before, it's fucking unoptimized and you need one that isn't already invented to be able to decently run it. Most of the time you only can watch a rotating hourglass.
-Gameplay fucking sucks. Shogun, Medieval 1 and Rome were WAY fucking better. The ships battles are specially bad because even a XBOX 1 game from 2003 called Pirates of the Caribbean was much better, graphics and gameplay included.
-Economic and resource gameplay fucking suck also, they are too much simplified like the game would be released on XBOX360 and PS3 also.
-It's full of bugs, crash to desktop and other performance issues, summed to an aggressive copy-protection that requieres Steam and to get online to even play it offline.

You want unoptimized, play Caesar IV. the game is 4 years old, but still brings quad core computers to their knees
I usually look at here (IGN), because it filters out the console crap and you can see the score of a game immediately (for what that's worth of course).
BTW you could add this one for games that are released in Europe first (and because Eurogamer is preferrable to Gamespot in the first place of course).

Here's a new game that deserves some attention, at least because it's PC only so no console bullshit port.
The gameplay is repetitive as fuck. Even boring i might say after a few hours. It's also short, you could finish it in one day.
BUT the world they created is very interesting. It made me play through that shitty melee system just to see what happens next. Few games i played in the last years captured my attention like that. Nothing is predictable.
It's a short, interesting journey through a weird world via shitty gameplay. Try it or you're a gay homo.

I doubt you're really asking me. I think you're acting all high and mighty and accusing me of playing a game before it's official release or something.
You are not a nice person.

You infer quite a lot from a simple question. Honestly I fail to see how you can deduct all this from a simple "Where do I get an illegal copy of this game?", but maybe you can elaborate so that we will understand your complex personality a bit better?
