Which do you prefer? I like the atmosphere of Fallout 3 -- it looks like a wasteland. I really don't like the cowboy style of New Vegas and the West. The West already looks like a wasteland even before the nuclear war. Its just desert and bushes.

Fallout 3 was garbage.
There is barely any content.
Bethesda fucked up all the lore.
The writing is terrible
The story is just some crap mash-up of the first two games.
NV is pretty much better in every department.

I like both, but there's no question that NV has better gameplay, so If I could only have one I'd have to take NV...it also has more challenging diff modes, so that adds an extra element.
I agree that FO3 feels more authentic though, I also preferred the humour and crassness of FO3.
Anyway, F03/NV and especially Skyrim, all good shit!!
I added a handful of mods to Skyrim, including Darker nights, and boy does that kickass, so now it's more difficult to see your enemies, light sources play a much bigger role, and some cave/mine entries are pitch black.

Do you even try to be consistent anymore? Someone already pointed out how you waffled on Oblivion. What about this review of Fallout 3?

I can understand the idea of a games value being altered after playing something better, but of course, this is why we should be careful when awarding such high scores....and I also think the notion of a fun factor score would help as well.
FO3 also looks extremely good with the max HD texture pack 1.2gig{not bethesda's shit}, and runs smoothly as well, whereas NV requires a 4gig HD pack to not look as good and run terribly.
