VideoGamesSuck.com :: View topic - Gaming can become even dumber
You would think gaming really cannot become any dumber than this, you reallly do not need to do anything at all, but who knows, console gaming might again surprise us.
Based on this footage the game looks like a particularly bad Mario Kart rip-off BTW.

Speaking of Mario Kart, it surprised me to see that (at least on the Wii) it outsold all other Mario games by a very wide margin:
So it sold more than 3 times Super Mario Galaxy, which is considered one of the best games on the Wii (it is actually No. 2 in gamerankings' best games of all times and all platforms).

Come to think of it, it may actually be good if consoles move further into the 'casual' direction. If consoles focus more on casual games, games as we like them get out of the focus there, causing such games to be developed for the PC (as opposed to developed for consoles and ported to PC).
Or they could just start making those "casual," controller-free games for PCs and stop making all other kinds of games. I think that is more likely.
I remember a commercial that was advertising the future of gaming, I think it was like Playstation 12 or 15 or something WAY in the future and it was a bunch of "gaming spores" that you inhale or something and then you see everything in front of your eyes like no hardware. Instead of that I think we will all be playing Call of Duty 20: Black Ops Boogaloo or some hullaballoo like that.
