Its a mess but I am enjoying it, the script and any dialog attached to the main story is horrible, the on the fly one liners while its great to see them back in a FPS are half crappy(and that's coming from a blood fan).
The weapons are ok, I love the bayonet, the levels can be overly simplstic but at elast they tried to use secrets in a coherent manner unlike most modern FPSs that frown on using unrealistic secrets....
Its like a mix of RTCW and Serious sam, solid action focused "zombie" fun.

Haha, incredible. I just now read your post in "what you're playing" and the only one from your list I thought of answering to was necrovision.
It's not a good game but it has...something. Maybe the feeling of Painkiller.
The problem is that...this isn't painkiller. After plenty of hours I started to realize that. That this whole shitty weapons and killing nazis shit is not going away. They tried too hard to have some sort of tie to world war 1 when it just wasn't necessary.
You must use an ammo cheat. Otherwise you're stuck with the boring rifle.
The campaign is pointless crap but the challenge mode, or whatever is called is what this WHOLE GAME should have been. You, in a room killing shit until your need for blood is satisfied for another day.

Serious Sam>Painkiller...........
I am playing it on hard and have no trouble with ammo, perhaps you need to learn to aim :P
I found out the other day you can mod it I am going to see if I can tweak the weapons some :X
The campaign mode has larger maps more secrets and can be fun to explore/run through even if its very simplified.
What the game has is a retro style of design back when story was 3rd or 4th on the to do list(think doom,duke,blood,qauke,qauke 2,unreal,ect), it has some fun gameplay and by the end of the day that is all that matters.
Its better than an on the rails shooter like Jericho ><

Serious Sam is better than Painkiller. And if you play with a friend in co-op (to piss puk off, he was anti co-op i think) then it OWNS Painkiller.
One of the most fun games to play with a friend. Small room, friendly fire, plenty of enemies jumping around = fun
edit: right, forgot to mention. This game has nothing in common with serious sam. NOTHING. Well ok a few things. But they obviously tried to rip-off Painkiller not Sam.

I played it and gave up halfway because the puzzles became really silly and it started to become quite linear. Up till then it was quite nice though. A bit like Outcast, but much more gritty and dark and it is much more an adventure game (puzzle based) than a shooter. The shooting parts were really awful BTW. I remember this review to be pretty accurate.

Merely trying to converse about the game and games in general, to me GOW is simple and extremely bland its not even fun while Necrovision is a simple shooter its more interesting to play and explore.
Crysis put to me to sleep it was a freaking engine test poor pacing and placement ,Far cry is far superior I hope Crysis 2 is worth while FC2 was good put so poorly implemented and thought through it was dull.
Have you tried Damnation or Cryostais yet?

No, and don't plan to......they sound like B grade games to me.
I'm looking forward to Arma2, OP DR, COD6 and Wolfenstein+GRAW4 has been announced and might be out in early 2010.
